Toruń – Polish gingerbread town

160 km from Gdansk, approx.2 hours on the motorway A1.

Toruń is one of the nicest cities in Poland inscribed on UNESCO’s list thanks to its medieval architecture which fortunately was not destroyed during the last war. In addition to the old town Toruń is also proud of at least three more things: the great astronomer Copernicus who was born there, the leaning watchtower and world renowned gingerbread in various shapes and sizes.
The trip to Toruń is especially recommended for those who have already visited Gdansk and for everyone who enjoys the cosy Hanseatic old towns with narrow cobbled streets. Sightseeing in the city can be combined with a SPA stay in Ciechocinek, Poland’s most famous SPA city, ca. 40 minutes by bus from Torun. The other benefits are reasonable prices of restaurants, spa treatments and nightlife and hotels, of course. Ask us about a detailed programme!
